This authorization covers all areas mutually agreed upon by the Taxpayer and the Tax Agent, which are legally permissible for the Tax Agent to carry out. These areas include, but are not limited to:
Adding the Taxpayer to the Tax Agent's Client List using the ATO ECI lodgement facility.
Including the Taxpayer on the Tax Agent's Client List within the ATO Tax Agent portal.
Acting on behalf of the Taxpayer in their interactions with the Commissioner regarding any tax-related issues.
Preparing and submitting Tax returns, Activity Statements, and other required filings as requested.
Accessing income tax, activity statement, and related information that may be made available through access to ECI or the ATO Portal for taxpayers.
You acknowledge that you, and anyone you officially nominate in writing (as long as we've confirmed the nomination), have the authority to provide us with instructions and information on behalf of all the individuals we are representing. You can also receive our advice and documents on their behalf.
In the case where we're representing a business, if we receive conflicting advice, information, or instructions from various individuals, we may escalate the matter to the board of directors, partners, or proprietors (whichever is applicable) and will proceed based on their specific instructions.
We will provide advice considering you and your partner as a family unit with common interests. This means we can interact with either of you and talk about the financial matters of the other person as well. If you ever want to modify these arrangements, please inform us.
